I was impressed with the amount of features Dot5 offered even with just their basic plan. Their package blew the competitors’ packages out of the water and by alot. Spam control, anonymous FTP, Unlimited MySQL databases, and loads of software including an online web editor, and 100s of templates to make building the site as easy as possible. Dot5 even offers a live demo of their services so you are free to play around with it and get comfortable with their general interface. I’ve been using Dot5 for a year and there is nothing negative to say. My server has so much space and bandwidth that I’d never dream of using. There is no downtime at all. My speeds have been the fastest I’ve ever had thanks to their state of the art infrastructure. I love the search engine and advertisement credits they offer, and perhaps best of all, their customer service is simply the best in class. Most companies only offer one or maybe two ways of contacting them when you need help, and some don’t even offer a phone number or 24 hour support. At Dot5 though, you can rest assured that you’ll be able to call and talk to someone if something happens to your site at three in the morning. I was referred to Dot5 by several other hosting sites when looking for reliable hosting. I had never owned and operated my own website before so naturally I was a bit nervous. Dot5’s customer service department made sure I had nothing to worry about though. They slowly guided me through all the steps one at a time and made sure to explain everything in easy to follow terms. When my friend recommended Dot5, I was skeptical because of the low price. I have always been a firm believer of -you get what you pay for- so I didn’t expect much for $4.95 a month. Wow was I wrong. A little searching of their easy to navigate site showed me that Dot5 only uses the most advanced hardware and software for their servers, not to mention the tons of bonus software I would given when I signed up. I’ve been using them for a few months now and Dot5 has proven to be incredibly powerful, my site is up at all times and my download speeds are great. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such reliability from any host I’ve used. I’ve switched all my servers to Dot5 and I don’t regret it in the least. Dot5 has changed my view from “you get what you pay for” to “why pay more, when you can get better, for less.”
